OnQual Privacy Statement

OnQual takes the privacy of our members very seriously. OnQual is a network of consumers and business professionals interested in participating in online research. OnQual is owned and operated by Itracks (www.itracks.com). All members have voluntarily registered to participate. All personal information gathered on our members is held with the strictest confidence and is stored within OnQual’s secure database and will not be provided to any third party member.

To help you protect your privacy, we provide this notice to explain our practices. This statement explains how our member’s information is used. This statement will also provide you with important information about your role as a member.

Information Collected by OnQual

Individuals can join the OnQual network of research respondents by registering at our onqual.com website.

During the registration process on www.onqual.com we require individuals to provide us with contact information (ie. email address and mailing address) and demographic information (ie. gender, birthdate). This information is gathered to validate the age of our panel members and to email/mail rewards or incentives earned due to participation.

Once you become a OnQual member you agree to receive other OnQual communications regarding bulletin board/focus group invitations and reminders, updates to our privacy policy, responses to inquiries that you submit to OnQual, and inquiries that we may have in regards to your status as a OnQual member.

We do ask our members for additional demographic information related to their income level, hobbies, product usage, technology usage, etc. We gather this information so that we can invite members to participate in research our clients are conducting that is of particular interest to that specific member. We may also use this information to pre-qualify members for future market research that targets certain demographics (age, gender etc.).

Sharing Information

OnQual is not in the business of selling your personally identifiable information. We use the information you provide for internal purposes and share it only for the limited purposes described as follows:

As a data collection company, protecting research participants’ privacy has always been important to us. We know that you will not want to complete a survey if your personally identifiable information is shared with third parties. We follow Canadian, US, and International laws and industry best practices with respect to the release of personally identifiable information. As members of CASRO and ESOMAR we adhere to their guidelines and standards as well.

The OnQual website may contain links to information on other websites. We do not have any control over these websites, and therefore we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information that you provide while visiting those sites. Those sites are not covered by this privacy statement, and if you have questions on how a site uses your information, consult that site’s privacy statement.

Our Policy Concerning Children

OnQual will never knowingly collect information from any individual under the age of 13 years without the express, written permission from the parents or legal guardian of said child. OnQual adheres to all Canadian, US, and International laws regarding Internet use by minors.

Legal Disclaimer

Under the laws of the Government of Canada and the United States of America, we may disclose personally identifiable information in response to legal process, for example, in response to a court order or a subpoena. We also may disclose such information in response to a law enforcement agency’s request. OnQual will take all necessary measures to ensure that there are no unauthorized disclosures of information. We will always do our best to protect our member’s information. If for any reason the information is released due to unforeseen circumstances, our members will be notified as quickly as possible.
